Why feedback is important?

Contd.....

I’ve heard many artists say that they hate playing to silent crowds. They love the crowd that participates. Then, I didn’t understand it much. Now when I post, post after post and get no feedback, I realize my karma (of school) is getting back at me. I get to teach to the walls as my teacher would always say!

Trust me; feedback is the only thing that can keep me going and doing this job 24/7. Feedback always doesn’t mean “you are great maam” et like. I am not fishing for compliments here.

“I didn’t understand this line/topic”

“...but I hold different view in this subject....”

“I wish to disagree on this issue.....”

Just about any explanation of your understanding is the feedback that tells me which ‘pointer’ of mine has been taken. Taken doesn’t mean to be ‘agreed’. It means that word or sentence has shaken up your thought, belief and woke you up from your mental slumber because that is exactly the sole purpose of my ‘hard work’ as noted by some of you.

It’s really welcome to notice that few of you take pains to give the link of older blogs that you’ve recently read and enjoyed/benefitted, for others. That simple act of yours talks about your ‘selfless’ need to share the benefit/joy that you received with others. Trust me; it really swells me up with joy. And it is good to notice that few have read it and responded with thanks too...keep up such good works here and every other place too......

Someone said “we carry few of your quotes through the day and sometimes days and we get some wonderful insights”. That is also good because it means ‘my hard work’ is giving results. Its returns are received. That is exactly how it is supposed to work. First, a person needs to know that he doesn’t know. Then he needs to go searching for what he needs to know. Then he should be exposed to thoughts and possibilities that are a possibility which he never knew existed or if he knew he didn’t think that he could use it himself. Once he gets to know ‘the existence of an attitude’ and then comes his important role of ‘sitting on that thought’. A master can get you till ‘getting to know of a possibility’. Then to sit on that thought is entirely a student’s job. It is called as ‘mananam’. The first part of my job is to give you ‘sravanam’ i.e., that of giving you to hear what is needed for you to know. Glad you are on that path of ‘mananam’. But, it would be much clearer for others if you also take pains to write about your insights atleast in few words.....

On Spring cleaning

On Spring cleaning

Please refer to comment “https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2024/12/on-spring-cleaning.html…” – beautiful, wow and wow of this year 2024!

No better way than this feedback to close this year 2024!

Well, kudos to Swathi, Mona, and Kshitija for the feedback.

I suggest you three put together all three of your feedback and come back with the complete picture – ASAP!

This feedback tells and talks about the “length of journey all three of them have done” in their “inner healing”. The result is very evident in the “Clarity of thought” that they exhibited in their feedback and understanding.

Grace healings - for sharing feedback!

Grace healings - for sharing feedback!

Swathi, kshitija, Mona receive Reiki for 3 days for sharing their feedback on their year long experiences – https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2024/12/year-end-2024.html?showComment=1735996768566

By this simple act they have shown that they are ready to give (even it be just feedback) to one who is slogging all through the year to write for you. It shows they are just not TAKERS in a relationship. And that is the most important attitude to develop in inter-personal relationships. We get to develop and express these attitudes in such scenarios. We can believe (Wrongly) and assume we give in a relationship but in simple day to day activities our real nature expresses itself.

This is a long journey. Just having this is not enough. On daily basis how they work on it and develop it decides how much love they receive in life.

YOU RECEIVE WHAT YOU GIVE!

Have any excuse, but a simple feedback clearly states ‘the way we act in our relationships’.

We receive what we receive because of who we are!

So beware! Your every act counts!

Grace healings – on being honest and for giving feedback!

Grace healings – On being honest and for giving feedback!

I had posed a question. https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2024/09/feedback-required.html?showComment=1727141113361

Only three seemed to have read it and responded to it – Rahul, Kshitija and Swathi.

Their response says:

One, they find the pointers useful to understand better. That means, their understanding otherwise was a little less than what is now! That shows that they are AWARE.

It also tells that they are accepting their ignorance. Good! They did not hush it or try to put the blame on something else. They owned it. That is the PRE-REQUISITE to WALK THE SPIRITUAL PATH!

Owning our weaknesses takes us towards our strengths!

Knowing that “I don’t know” is also a great knowing!

When they accepted they benefitted they overcame their fear of rebuke (due to ignorance) and walked towards being fearless, brave and courage! See, it is as simple as that to develop these qualities.

They asked for the pointers to be continued. Asking for help openly tells that the person is working on being HUMBLE! WOW TO THAT! That is THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY TO OVERCOME EGO AND KARMA! Every step in that direction is worth the celebration.

By stating that they understood better with the pointers they also are appreciating ‘the quality of the writing’. Appreciation is the quality required to correct our karmas regarding our ‘relationships’. They are working on that!

Not knowing or ignorance is not the bane. Recognizing it is the first step to overcome it. Doing everything within your power to overcome it is the right step towards “freedom from ignorance”. They are there! Applause for that! So, you see, our every act, expresses our direction, intent and character (that is and that is being worked on too).

So, for all the qualities that they expressed through this simple feedback, I am pleased with their effort. As always, I am showing my appreciation by sending Reiki to these noble souls for a month……..

And yes, as requested by them and for them, I will continue giving the pointers as before till I get feedback otherwise!!!

And just like that, even others benefit from this request of theirs! What a way to live - just by being right, honest and sincere we make a difference - a positive one in others' life too!

Wow! wow! and a thousand wow to all that!

Continue being so - again and again - till you reach your goal!

Feedback required!

Feedback required!

I have been giving “Pointers to understand the blog post” for quite some time now.

Did it help you to understand the post in a better way?

You must have got the hang of it by now.

So, do I understand that you don’t need it anymore from now on.....

Can I stop giving you “Pointers to understand the post” from now on?

If any of you want me to continue writing it for some more time, let me know so I can do the same for you.

If I don’t receive any feedback on this, I’ll discontinue this part henceforth!

Either way, it would be the least you could do to come back with your feedback.

Need for feedback.....

On feedback, appreciation and human wants........

(This article is based on recent comments posted.....i just wanted to share thank-you and few thoughts on thoughts shared by few of you.....)

My English teacher – Ms. Susheela Prasad, God bless her, was a wonderful soul and an excellent teacher. She would complete a session and ask “have you understood?” and there would be dead silence in our class. Not a leaf moved. And she, after waiting for two minutes would say “your silence could possibly mean two things. One that you understood every word of what I taught and two that you didn’t understand a word of it! I hope your silence doesn’t mean the second!

Yet again one long silence in the class!

“Good God, can’t you atleast answer for this?”

We would still be silent. Then out of sheer desperation she would call out my name and ask “What about you? Did you or did you not understand?”

I would meekly get up nod my head and reply in a weak voice “I did, teacher!”

“Then, why didn’t you say so?”

Thankfully bell would ring and save me every time. I never answered that question of hers!

No other teacher asked us so. So, only Ms. Susheela Prasad ended up suffering our silence for years.

On feedback

…contd….

What does all this mean?

1.      In every situation of your life – be it personal, financial, professional or spiritual you’ll get such feedbacks. It’s up to you to decide which type of reaction you want to choose to face that situation. Your choice decides your state of mind.  Not the feedback. So learn this art earlier than later!

2.      Act only on such of feedback which help you to grow as a better person – be it physically, mentally, financially, emotionally or spiritually. Other feedbacks – just put them in “delete” mode.

3.      Don’t – I repeat NEVER EVER  try to understand why a person is being vicious when he/she gives a feedback/comment. There’s only one thing to understand in such situations. They are ‘garbage trucks’ carrying and throwing garbage around. A little fell on you to. Dust it and move on. They are not worth a second thought! And ever ever try to win them over too hard!

How come most of the comments are only about thank-yous and having only good in them except this boy who writes from black to white covering grey areas of topic too in between?

People who are cautious would always play safe and hence play less. They also receive less! People who are not ready to take ‘RISKS’ can never expect to reach the goal of ‘SUCCESS’.

And here is a boy who says it all. It could be so only he is either stupid or innocent not to weigh his words and reaction of the other person before saying it all!
