On Gratitude

...contd.....

Why should you thank? Because, the common complaint I receive is “I do so much to XYZ and he/she doesn’t show gratitude/appreciation/praise me” that includes you too!  What you want or what is your need is also the need of the other in your life! Since, you want appreciation and validation of your “good job”, you should give it to others.

Remember the “Law of Nature” – “As you sow, so you reap”, “You receive what you give”.  If you want people to validate your effort, if you want people to say that you are important in their life, is it not logical that you do the same for others?

So, please start now, start immediately! Go- hug, praise, write, call or say it aloud – but let it be known to the other that you appreciate their part in your life!  Tell them how important they are to you.  Don’t be a kanjoos (miser) in this! But, remember, let it not be flowery or fake.  The “thank-you” should be genuine – only then it’ll reach the other person.

What’s the benefit of doing this? Well, all our lives we are concentrating on two things mostly – one is how much we have helped/benefitted/given to others and second how they have been ungrateful for the same.  Now, when we do this exercise at least once a week/day/month, we realize how much others have done for us.  We know how much we’ve received.  Then, we’ll count our blessings!  We’ll celebrate what we have.  And that is the basis of happiness in our life.  Yes! Looking at our abundance, we’ll celebrate life and be grateful for it!  We are not happy because we don’t have something or we lack someone, we are crying/cribbing/complaining because we “think” – I repeat we think (that means we think so when in actuality we are not) we don’t have anything!

Me, My guru – working of Karma noted in a real-life situation!

Contd....

Me, My guru – working of Karma noted in a real-life situation!

In the above case, I saw something beautiful. The second son repented what he had done to his elder brother, and sought forgiveness (genuinely). He was a changed man now. His heart had become pure with regret and shame. He faced the downs of life with equipoise and so healed his karma. His nature became purer over the years.

But, the eldest daughter-in-law kept the fire of hatred and resentment alive all these years. She kept marketing her ‘victimhood’ to all and sundry. Of course, people pitied her and felt she had suffered a lot in life. But, the hatred in her was eating her away from within. Because she was feeding hatred, it became huge. It demanded a victim on which it could direct its poison. The woman found her elder daughter suitable for this. She vented all her hatred on her elder daughter. She felt only her second daughter and son were her own. She started spreading rumours about her elder daughter. But, her elder daughter was calm and kept supporting her physically, emotionally, financially and even spiritually till the end without expecting anything from her mother. She didn’t even carry any anger towards her mother.

In the meantime, the mother developed tumour and had to be operated. It was found to be ‘just before cancer stage’. But, a few years down the lane, she developed cancer and doctors gave up on her. It was again her elder daughter who came to her rescue and stood by her – by way of finding the right doctor, arranging money and everything. She was cured of cancer but it did eat her organs away. Her heart was enlarged. She developed multiple complications and lived with them for the next couple of decades. She enjoyed life. But, her bitterness increased and she would find new ways to torture her elder daughter. One by one her organs started deteriorating. This is the ‘karma’ of troubling the ‘right one’. (Read the link to understand how supporting the wrong kid by a parent out of 'moham' attachment brings pain and suffering to the parent and to the entire clan https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2014/05/draupadi-mahabharata_18.html )

# me, my guru series, karma, you receive what you give, fate and destiny, destiny, as you sow so you reap, everything happens for a reason,

What do you think of the daughter-in-law and her feelings? How right was she in her feelings and how right was karma in treating her so?

What do you think of the daughter?

How do you understand 'a mother' who behaves so?

On creator and creation

On creator and creation

There are approximately (this is just the rough figure based on discoveries made till date.....not taken into account those of galaxies not yet discovered or noticed) one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Can any of you even imagine the number given? I can't!

This is the level of creation and the work of 'The Creator' who is creating at such magnitude. And now, YOU THINK HE is busy TESTING YOU  and creating PROBLEMS FOR YOU?

Think aloud your thoughts!

Listen to yourself!

Do you really think HE is such a jobless and sadist to keep sending troubles our way?

HE just created us and the Universe! And left it to ourselves to sort and live our lives our way. HE knew our great desires and sense of 'right and wrong'. And so to keep everything in order all HE did was create 'simple laws of Nature' that govern all the 'beings'.

That is called as 'Law of karma' which states 'As we sow, so we reap' meaning whatever we are reaping today is the outcome of our 'good deeds' of all the yesterdays.

And if what we are bearing now is painful, tough, disgusting then what does that mean?

Think, think about it!

Questions answered -

Why am I suffering?

Why God/Guru/Reiki is not giving me what I want?

Why Guru/God are testing us by giving us what pains us?

I did pooja etc and yet my wish is not fulfilled?

Why am I suffering when all others are fine?

Also read for better understanding and revising all that you have forgotten or not wanting to consider while complaining/ suffering/ questioning etc......

If not a tree at least plant a plant!

contd....

If not a tree at least plant a plant!

Trees are beneficial to us in more than one way.

·       They absorb carbondioxide from surrounding air and give us oxygen.

·      They reduce the pollution in the air.

·       We get good air to breathe.

·       Check for pollution levels at Army area with area with less or no trees in internet. You’ll be surprised to see the difference. (Again one more reason to do reiki to our Defence personnel and people serving in army and other armed forces for the services they are doing for us and Nation. We owe them a lot. The least we can do is do reiki for their and their family’s well-being.

·      The roots of the plants grow deep into the soil and thus make it right and easy for soil to hold and absorb rain water. That means less rain water wasted. It also means rain harvesting done naturally. This also means our ground water level increases and we don’t have to go deep for bores. Boring comes with less noise pollution during drilling and less expense for us.

CContd....

# plant a tree, ecological balance, greenery, growing plants, gratitude, being responsible citizen of the world, future for our kids, greenery and pollution, air pollution, small acts of goodness.
