Good! But what about today?

Preventive Measures is the answer!

I have received couple of calls and mails asking “This Maintenance Free State is for our tomorrows. Because all these measures that we take from today will reflect in our present and every tomorrow that comes. But what about Karma that’s already done and all which is going to be reflected as an event in our present moment of Life (and I am sure the question reflects only ‘bad’ event!) today.

Well, every single karma (and always remember karma includes every thought, word, feel and action of ours) represents a seed that grows on to produce fruits at the appointed time. The past acts that have produced fruits – good and bad can only be lived through with grace and an understanding that I am just reaping what I’ve sown and to make my garden of Life-weed free, I need to do “Preventive Maintenance.”

Now, what is this Preventive Maintenance. Every one who owns a vehicle gives it for a periodic Maintenance – say quarterly for good mileage and for better performance. This is called as Preventive Maintenance. Preventive Maintenance of the vehicle also includes :
a) Petrol being checked regularly and filled at the appropriate time
b) Air pressure checked and maintained for the tyres
c) Spare tyre is kept every maintained especially on a long drive.

Inspite of all this Preventive Maintenance we know – we can meet with an accident and we need to exchange the vehicle after few years say 20-25 years later with the new one.

Now, what are the Preventive Maintenance that we can do to avoid accidents and delays in our day to day life – spiritually speaking! Write them out in the blog, I’ll join you later tomorrow then,

Beginner's must know tips

All that you needed to make a brand new good beginning

As all journey starts at the very beginning, so does our journey towards a purpose, blissful and meaningful life start at the beginning or the starting point of our journey. And our journey’s starting point is the Thought. How? Well, the task of converting a mortal of mud into pure gold starts with the right raw material used for the purpose. As we all very well know any finished good is what it is or what it turns out to be because of the quality and the quantity of the raw materials used. For e.g.: wooden furniture can’t be made out of a clay mould just as a clay pot can’t be made from a lump of gold. The raw materials are the only deciding factor in the final product of the matter. Just the same FATE or DESTINY is just the final product. FATE is our present that we are living, experiencing and suffering/enjoying (as the case may). But it has been long before projected by a single thought of ours.

“I have long before lived all the moments in my thoughts”- Swami Chinmayananda.

GOD first thought, then uttered “OM” and the world came into being. He has made a replica of himself in Man. The creative abilities of His are also passed on to the Man in the Order of Thought, feel, word and Action. That means, every thought is the seed of my probable future. I nurture it further with similar or repeated thoughts. Then it is coloured with emotions and fed further with words. Each thought stays with us in our system as a Psychic Impression. Set of psychic impressions is what constitutes our Belief systems. Belief system in turn determine our habit. Our habits form the basis for our Character and the Character is the determining factor of our fate. And the FATE started with every Single Thought.
“Ke sera sera” - “As you think, you shall be.”

So, let’s work on our dear thoughts that arise dozen/second.

Now the next good question is how do I change the course of my thoughts or the way I think? Well,

a) Pranayamam is the easiest and the best way to bring awareness to the present Moment. Pranayamam automatically shifts our focus to the Moment. Thereby reducing the flow of thoughts and also its travel to past and future as such speeds.

b) Bring Awareness to every Act of yours. Whatever you do, even as you read this blog just ‘be Aware’ that you are reading this blog. Just be Aware of your eyes, of your breath, the colour and the backdrop of the blog. Just Be! As you practice it through the day, you will notice the effect it has on you. Initially, you may not be Aware for more than a minute or two. But still keep doing it. You’ll flow with the events and then again remember that you need to be Aware. Then be Aware of whatever you are doing then. This simple exercise has tremendous results. It empowers you in a strange new way. Experience it to believe it.

c) The simple tip to be Aware more often is stick at every place – kitchen, sink, doors, back of doors, on phone, on T.V., cupboards -on and inside, washbasin- just about everywhere a sticker that simply says “BE AWARE NOW!”.

d) Drop the Belief Systems that bind you. Doubt your Beliefs till you know for sure to believe your beliefs. Every thought that we generate is the outcome of some Belief System. No, (that you just uttered) also is coming out of a Belief System that what I believe is the only right thing. So on and so forth!

e) Meditation is the only way to gather our thoughts and heal all the psychic impressions that we have gathered.

f) Last but the most Important is “Sadhan, Sadhan and more Sadhan”. And one Sadhan that beats all is “HANDS ON EVERY DAY – FULL BODY OF 24 POINTS”.

These simple techniques can help us to grow towards our Maintenance Free state of existence. A state which doesn’t get effected by the laws of karma and the nature.

The product that is Maintenance Free and comes with life time guarantee and with no need for parts replacement and if need be immediate and full replacement guaranteed is a dream product for all of us. It is a Customer’s Ultimate Utopian Wish. But it can be made a reality with our efforts and hands – literally speaking.

So, how many takers?

So, looking forward to see you all as a Maintenance Free energy centres who create beautiful worlds within and without, I remain,

Revathi (as known to you)

उगादी स्पेशल

Let’s make a new beginning

నూతన సంవసర శుభ కాంక్షలు! Happy Ugadi! Ugadi means Yugamu yokka aadi – means the beginning of a new Yuga or era. New Yuga doesn’t just begin with a time striking particular hour or minute, but it represents a new beginning of thoughts. New Yuga means a conscious shift universally made. Now whether this universal consciousness is for good or bad depends solely on the shift made. Each one of us is contributing to this universal shift by giving through our Being. It means if I am frustrated and agitated, I am contributing that energy to the universal consciousness. In spite of me thinking of myself as a good person, karmically speaking as I am contributing agitated and frustrated energies to the universal consciousness, I am to bear the fruits of this karma – sooner or later. But, since it all happens in our unaware state, we are both angry and frustrated when things go out of hand in our lives. Anyone who feels he/she has had enough of this pain in their lives and don’t want any more naturally selects the path that takes them to a point of karma healing.

But, for that let’s understand at what points we can make a difference in the effect of karma in our lives.

Ø The last stage is the Break-down point. And the only way to fix it is Break-down Maintenance. Simply said, a vehicle which has a flat tyre needs immediate tyre change. A vehicle which has no petrol needs to be filled with petrol. Break which is not working properly needs to be fixed. At these points there is no point in talking of the mileage and the engine life etc. The action that needs to be taken is of immediate fixing of the problem. This is called as break-down maintenance.

Similarly in life, when we have a physical ailment, it needs to be attended. Any disease is to be fixed first then thought about correcting the cause generating fact and thereby preventing it from happening in the future.

Ø The next stage is the Prevention Maintenance. Here, we concentrate on the issues that can avert the accidents, delays etc by taking regular maintenance actions. Like we do petrol filling at reserve, periodic and regular service done for the vehicle. This doesn’t though for sure avert accidents. Accidents may still happen. But it stands to reason that we took all the possible measures needed to avert one. Our lethargy and negligence surely is not to blame.

Similarly, we do exercises, yogasans, homam, hands-on etc as Preventive Maintenance.

Ø The best stage is the Maintenance Prevention stage. Here we go for such products that say no maintenance required. We rise to such state of Being where we are not bound by the laws of karma and nature.

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa’s Guru always insisted on Meditation and would forcefully make Paramahamsa sit for long hours in Meditation. He would say repeatedly “Samadhi state is a must for a sadhak”. One day Paramahamsa asked him “But why should I Meditate. I already see and talk to Mother.”(He meant Mother Kali).

His guru showed his brass kamandalam (an urn used to carry water by sanyasis) and said “See it is shinning and it looks so beautiful when clean. I clean it daily while taking bath. In the same for the mind to be shinning only with the Light of Knowledge, we should clean it daily of all the dust that covers it. We call it as psychic impressions. And the only way we can clean ourselves of the Psychic Impressions is Meditation. So Meditate Daily!”.

Paramahamsa very innocently asked, “But, why carry an urn of brass? Instead carry one of gold. You’ll never need to clean it.”

His Guru was dumb-stuck and hugged Paramahamsa with tears rolling down his cheeks.

All Gurus and scriptures suggest Preventive Measures when they talk of charity, anger and other emotions management, yogasans etc. But, we like Ramakrishna Paramahamsa long to lead a maintenance free life. A maintenance free life is reflected in disease free body, mind and soul. It also means confusion free and clarity driven mind, emotionally balanced state of feelings, and Mind is without fear and soul is unbound and totally free of all dogmas and ignorance.

For each of us who wishes not to be doing the entire daily cleaning up and preventive maintenance we should work for a maintenance free state of existence. That is what the seers call as Enlightened. Anyone who has realized the Self goes well beyond the laws of nature and karma. Simply put,
“खुदी को कर कुछ इतना बुलंद के हर तकदीर लिखने से पहले ख़ुद खुदा आके ठुज्से पूछे बोल बन्दे आज तेरी राजा क्या है.”

It means “rise your consciousness to such great heights that even God is compelled to come down and ask you before writing your fate as to how you want it to be written for tomorrow!”

As you plan to rise your consciousness, I go to do mine,

Inexpensive is Cheap!

If it’s costlier, it’s best!

Every person is nothing but a combination of “set of beliefs”. Not necessarily the right ones! But since our “set of beliefs” constitute our habit which in turn build our character – character is the seat of our fate, is it not better we set right our “set of beliefs” that are the basis of our fate? Please don’t just read this out and push it aside. Take a paper at the end of today’s write-up and jot down all the “beliefs” that constitute you. You need to know which “belief system” is the driving force in your life.

Let me give you a helping hand. One common belief is that anything less costly or inexpensive has got to be of cheap quality. Be it for an item, place, cost of your vacation, gift, food, clothing, jewellery – why even Doctor is considered not so good if he or she charges less? The more the fees the famous and good Doctor he/she is considered. More expensive the treatment, the better it is! So on and so forth.

The Pomegranates

There was once a man who had many pomegranate trees in his orchard. And for many years he would place pomegranates in the silver tray and place it outside his dwelling. He would place a sign on it “Pomegranates for free! Take as much as you want!”

People passed by but never took even a single pomegranate.

He was truly hurt. And one autumn he placed the pomegranates with the sign “Best pomegranates in the land! Costlier than any other pomegranate in the land! Only silver accepted as it’s cost!”

And the next morn, all the men and the women of the neighbourhood came rushing by to buy it!

So, next time you make a statement just be aware! Am I changing the course of events? Am I making the pomegranates costlier when I could have them for free?

We have already ended up buying water, air, land, grave and what not? Are we to go on this buying spree but still further on this path or shall we retrace our steps to make this place a better place for ourselves to life and enjoy?

Experiences are coming free of cost. It’s time we share it with others so that they don’t start carrying a price tag on them. Our growth, our journey from where we started when we came to Reiki and where we are can also be shared. It’s precious yet comes free! Transformation that’s happened within and without is also very special though uncharged! Only sharing it can retain its cost as “free”. Please share because as we share, we grow, we are peaceful, healing is at work, we are connected and so much more!!!! And all for FREE. So high time we start sharing our journey details!

The Real Growth is in Letting Go!

LETTING GO!

Three days back, my neighbour’s son left his mortal body to resume his journey elsewhere. My neighbour who is 75 years old faced the situation with such calmness and equanimity that I learnt a couple of lessons from him. For an onlooker he may have looked insensitive and uncaring, but I saw emotional balance and trust in Lord personified through him. Anybody can appear or act calm in good times, but it is in such times that the person’s real character is put to test. Most of us quote scriptures in good times.

We all can talk philosophy when we give advice to others. But when time comes to live that philosophy we usually break down. We get carried in our ego game. Under ideal conditions anybody can do extraordinary things. But in the ordinary moments of life the extra ordinary character of the person is seen, caught and known.

My regular talks with my neighbour revolved around lord’s will and the surrendrance to his will. Not to forget the belief that his will is with the best of intention in spite of it being in contradiction to my tastes and likes and dislikes. And I found that he actually lived those words when the time demanded him of it. “all the world’s a stage and all men and women mere players”- Shakespeare.

Everyone who comes must also go.

मौत पे किसकी रफ्तागिरी है,
आज उनकी तो कल हमारी बरी है.
“No one’s got a stay on death, today it’s his but tomorrow is my turn.”

Heard it so many times have we, but has it sunk in? In this world only two things are for certain- uncertainty and death. Still why can’t we accept it with equanimity and grace. After all,

हर जनम में हम पोषक ही थो बदलते है
थो फिर हमें मरने या हमारी मरने की यह क्या बात है?
“I just change the attire in each of my lives, then what is this talk of me dying or killing me?”

Once, a Zen Master went to Bombay on an official trip. His three children aged three, two and one died suddenly in his absence at Hyderabad. His wife was perplexed. She didn’t know how to pass this news to her husband. She dressed the children in the inner room for the last journey and waited in the hall for her husband to return the next day. He returned the following day. She gave him water to drink. She asked him to sit down and asked him gently “Dear, if the neighbour asks me to keep few things of theirs for safe keeping in your absence, is it fine if I do so?” He smiled. He knew his wife very well. She could never go back in helping anyone. He nodded and said “Of course, you can. I wouldn’t mind.” She gathered little courage and asked the next question. “If the same neighbour comes back and asks me to return his things to him – again in your absence, would you be angry if I do so?” Zen Master smiled and replied, “He is asking for his things. Why would I be angry if you return his items back to him.”

Wife asked the Zen Master to come in. When he saw the bodies of his three children, he immediately understood his wife’s questions and the reason behind them. He quietly asked his wife to do the needful while he went ahead with his duties.

This balance is a possibility only if our Trust and Belief in GOD is REAL and just not verbal.

We say we believe Him but, only as long as things go in our favour. A little jerk in the routine and the Trust just flies out of the window sill. Why do we always Doubt our Beliefs? Yet faithfully Believe our Doubts? Time we shift our belief to Beliefs and Doubt our doubts. When we presume things going out of hand, actually he is at work to set them right the best possible way! Remember The Little Hut story.

No, this doesn’t apply to just accepting death. It is all to remind ourselves the “Importance of Let Go” in our little sensitive Lives. The moment we term something or someone as OURS, the identification makes it difficult and many times impossible to let it/them let go – though it may be for mutual benefit and good.

We don’t let go of our negative emotions – pain, anger, sadness, jealousies, depression and like because we call them “Mine” – My anger, My pain etc।

We don’t let go of our diseases as we accept them as something that need to be lived them for rest of the life time. We have this unwritten vow with most of our diseases “till death do us apart!”. How faithful we are to our diseases!

We don’t let go of our near ones off the formalities and rituals. We bind them with the formalities and rituals. We are afraid we’ll lose them if they don’t follow any or few formalities or rituals. Guilt and accusations and the weapons used to bring them back to the old ways. Because, we are presumably safe in the known backdrop of dead rituals.

We don’t let go of our near and dear friends because we are afraid of loneliness। We feel we would be left alone for rest of the life। Though at every juncture, we have made new and better friends and moved on both in life and grown as a person with every new relationship that’s come our way। Baseless fear stops us from letting go of the dead relationships too! Who afsana jise manzil thak lana na ho mumkin use ek khoobsoorat mod dekar chodna achha ! (That relationship which cannot be lived till the end should be given a decent and a beautiful turn and left alone!)

The same applies for name, fame, success, assets and all that I address as mine.

Letting Go is an ART that’s to be learnt for sure for happy living and it reflects our Spiritual Quotient too! We are but condemned to this choice of learning this lesson of Letting Go without fail – sooner or later. Then why not now?

Letting go means we are sure that
“when things work my way – its good, but when they don’t its doubly good because His Will is in it and His Will is ALWAYS for my larger Good only – FOR SURE and EVER SO MORE!.

This is the pre-requisite lesson for satisfied, peaceful, blissful and complete Life that each one of us longs to experience and lead.

May the Divine guide you in learning this lesson of life,

revathi

LIFE IS A JOURNEY OF JOY

Enjoy the ride while it lasts

Clarity about our life- its twists and turns and its destination put us at ease with many realities of our life.

'Life is like a train ride . . . We get on. We ride. We get off. We get back on and ride some more. There are accidents and there are delays. At certain stops there are surprises. Some of these will translate at moments of joy; some will result in profound sorrow.'
When we are born and we first board the train, we meet people whom we think will be with us for the entire journey. Those people are our parents! Sadly, this is far from the truth.
Our parents are with us for as long as we absolutely need them. They too have journeys they must complete. We live on with the memories of their love, affection, friendship, guidance and their ever presence.

There are others who board the train and who eventually become very important to us, in turn.

These people are our brothers, sisters, friends and acquaintances, whom we will learn to love, and cherish.

Some people consider their journey like a jaunty tour. They will just go merrily along .Others, will encounter many upsets, tears, losses on their journey.

Others still, will linger on to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.

Some people on the train will leave an everlasting impression when they get off….

Some will get on and get off the train so quickly, they will scarsely leave asign that they ever travelled along with you or ever crossed your path…

We will sometimes be upset that some passengers, whom we love, will choose to sit in another compartment and leave us to travel on our own.

Then again, there’s nothing that says we can’t seek them out anyway.

Nevertheless, once sought out and found, we may not even be able to sit next to them because that seat will already be taken.

That’s okay …everyone’s journey will be filled with hopes, dreams, challenges, setbacks and goodbyes.

We must strive to make the best of it… no matter what...

We must constantly strive to understand our travel companions and look for the best in everyone.

Remember that at any moment during our journey, any one of our travel companions can have a weak moment and be in need of our help.

We too may vacilate or hesitate, even trip… hopefully we can count on someone being there to be supportive and understanding…

The bigger mystery of our journey is that we don’t know when our last stop will come.

Neither do we know when our travel companions will make their last stop.

Not even those sitting in the seat next to us.

Personally, I know I’ll be sad to make my final stop…. I’m sure of it!

My separation from all those friends and acquaintances I made during the train ride will be painful. Leaving all those I’m close to will be a sad thing. But then again, I’m certain that one day I’ll get to the main station only to meet up with everyone else. They’ll all be carrying their baggage of understanding and learning… most of which they didn’t have when they first got on this train.

I’ll be glad to see them again. I’ll also be glad to have contributed to their baggage… and to have enriched their lives, just as much as they will have contributed to my baggage and enriched my life.

We’re all on this train ride together. Above all, we should all try to strive to make the ride as pleasant and memorable as we can, right up until we each make the final stop and leave the train for the last time.

With this awareness when we travel through our life we will be cautious enough to travel light. Because as they say “with less baggage you always travel easy.”

All through our lives we carry the baggage of pain, anger, frustration, sadness, jealousness. No doubt we drag through our lives. We can live life only if we are light within.

Travel we must through this path called life. But is the journey a joyful one or a laborious one depends solely on the luggage that we carry.

So, unburden yourself for a joyful journey.

Wishing for your journey to be happy,

Revathi

You can never lose it all!

Everything’s for good!

Anger, irritation, frustration and agitation also stem from the fact that my situation is not to my liking / things are not happening to my liking. The latest reason or excuse being recession too! Every adversity carries with it an equal or greater blessing. Every need of mine requests immediate gratification. But Reiki has better plans for long run – always.

YOUR LITTLE HUT

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him. Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.

The worst had happened ~ everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me?" he cried. Early the next day, however, he was wakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It's easy to get discouraged sometimes when things appear to be going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it is just a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it. Pass this story on, you never know whose life may be in need of this today. Believe me, there are some days when we all feel that our huts are burning.

Whether we know it or not, God is at work. Whether we believe it or not, God is at work. Whether we understand it or not, God is at work.

Every prayer of mine has wonderful words and emotions too at times. If only my prayers had TRUST too in them! I would be more at peace with the happenings of my life! I want to do things and when they don’t work out to my taste I get angry. Trust in the Lord and surrendrance would have automatically put me at peace and calm because I know once I do my bit (completely and honestly) I can leave the rest to his doing.

Leaving you for now to develop Trust, I retire peacefully for now,
