On receiving forgiveness!

On receiving forgiveness!

Detach yourself from your action to actually realize where you went wrong!

As long as you identify with your actions and words, you’ll end up justifying them – till eternity.

So where is the question of feeling bad about doing it wrong?

So where is the question of correcting yourself?

So where is the question of redemption for you?

Forgiveness is received or given only when the doer REALIZES his wrong! – Not until then…..

Unless the doer accepts, understands, believes that he has 'WRONGED' how can he work out his redemption?

How can he repent? Where will he repent?

If there is no regret or repentance then how will the question of 'genuinely seeking forgiveness' come at all?

Think again and again - look again and again - read again and again - this is just not a post - this is the path towards 'our redemption'.

Me, my Guru – on heaven and hell

Me, my Guru – on  heaven and hell

Beverly Sills Anger Quotes | QuoteHD

He did not become great by controlling or winning battles with brutal force and strength. He became great by winning over his own ego and anger!

Nikki Giovanni - Mistakes are a fact of life. It is the...

And he knew and realized how much he had wounded the Master with his uncontrolled anger and so he fell on his feet! Alexander created his heaven there. He regretted his action and ego-drive. There he created his heaven. His genuine tears expressed his genuine regret. That way he was in heaven!

Bob Dylan - People seldom do what they believe in. They do...

Verbal forgiveness or sorry is no repentances. It’s a ‘required act’ performed mechanically. There the feelings of resentment, ego, anger, expectations and conditions of ego are not washed off the soul. They still exist! As long as our attitudes of remorse are still with us we are in hell. The day they are washed away in our tears (not physical but of soul), then, no words like sorry etc is required or needed to express that repentance. Repentance if – ONLY if real is given forgiveness automatically! The person, if repents his acts or words, rises as a ‘new man’ without these qualities or emotions of expectations, ego, conditions, anger etc. He has created a heaven then and there with ‘his sins’ condoned and washed away!

True repentance has a double aspect. It... - Quote One who says sorry but repeats his actions and words again and again creates hell for himself. Nay, he becomes hell for people in his life too! We carry our hell and heaven with us – where ever we go! We suck people into it by making them responsible for things in our lives!

((Homework : Read this story again and again – even if you suppose you understand it or understood it. Read it again. Even if you say and think ‘I know this story from before’ – read it again!
Now write what you have understood from this in your reiki book and come back with your notes to read the blog post………))

Questions addressed :

  • Why seeking forgiveness verbally doesn't qualify for repentance?

Food for thought :

  • No forgiveness is received or given as long as it is only verbal.
  • We say we cry seeking mercy. But that cry is not out of shame or regret of how we behaved or how we are as a person. We cry out of fear of having to receive punishment for out acts. We cry for we don't want to receive that punishment. When such tears are rolled out, we can't and never will get 'forgiveness'.
  • We can't demand forgiveness.
  • Seeking forgiveness itself means we have wronged. And if there is no humility even after thinking we have wronged then how can the other forgive us?
  • Humility doesn't demand.
  • Mercy is a favour done by the wronged. It is not the right of the wrong doer.
  • Unless the soul cries out of pain and shame, unless soul is ready to wait till eternity to seek forgiveness it doesn't qualify to receive one.
  • When we seek forgiveness we should be ready to do anything to seek condonment from the other. Only then our intention seems genuine. A verbal sorry is no sorry!

Angulimaan, the Saint

Contd….

Angulimaan, the Saint

Even Rama after killing Ravana had to go through cleansing process to have his sins condoned. No deity who had requested him to take a birth and kill Ravana took his sin away. His Guru either Sage Vishwamitra or Sage Vashista did not heal the sin themselves. He did it on his own.

At Buddha’s ashram Angulimaan went through the healing process sincerely and with one pointed concentration of being healed of all his sins. It wasn’t an easy task. Buddha didn’t promise him that it would be an easy one too! Guru can be with you guiding you as you go through your painful yet “must” healing process. He doesn’t judge you for your sins or he pains/ sufferings that you undergo in this process. In fact he is the ONLY ONE who understands your pain in this journey and yet stands by you encouraging you to never give up.

Me, My Guru – On anger of Lord Shiva!

Contd......

Me, My Guru – On anger of Lord Shiva!

“A parent who after having tried out all other options joins his son in a deaddiction centre and even may remove him from his will as an act of love. Like-wise, Lord Shiva gives us more than million chances to realize our errors, sins and acts of demeaning this life. When a stage comes where in a soul loses all chances of self-improvement or regret or repentance and also becomes threat to the people following “Dharma” without expecting anything in return and are in devotion inspite of hardships meted by such asuric people in their life, then Lord sees no other option but ‘absorbing such a person’ into Himself which is called as killing by us mortals for want of better words to describe that act filled with ‘Love and kindness’ of Lord. When a person dies a natural death then he has to be born again to reap the benefits – both good and bad of his karma. Since, this asuric character has no more ‘scope of any improvement’ his life is ended by absorbing him into Himself – the Lord Shiva! This is no anger but an act of Absolute and Ultimate Love! Now, please don’t quote this and say ‘Guruji, since XYZ can’t change and I am hurt beyond acceptance levels I want to kill him out of love. This is my ultimate expression of love for him’. Don’t use right example at wrong place. You can’t use Lord’s example to commit your acts of passion. Grow in stature in every way and then we’ll see! Now you carry envy, depression, jealousy, hatred and still want to use ‘this example’ to get away with your desire to commit an evil act? With these qualities still intact in self you want to compare yourself with the Lord?”

We all laughed. She was right. We used right examples at wrong places. We thought we were smart enough to fool others and project ourselves as ‘good person’ and her repeated explanation has made it clear that we were at the end only fooling ourselves. We were stupid to think that we were smart enough to fool others. I remember her one saying always “whatever you are proud of, that by itself becomes cause of your downfall!” So true! People who cheated others with their ‘smartness’ ended up messing their lives all thanks to their smartness. People who were proud of their power or money – that became tool of their downfall, pain and suffering. I could go on and on with any attitude but still people...
