On prayers answered!

On prayers answered!

How I Prayed for My Love Story | God answers prayers, Answered ...

Once a Bhaktha sat in front of Shiva* and asked him sadly “How come you don’t answer all my questions?  How do you choose which question to answer and which to not? And your choice makes my life hell?”

Croft M. Pentz Quote: “God's answers are wiser than our prayers ...

Shiva smiled at him and said “I answer each and every question of yours’

Quotes about Answering prayers (50 quotes)

“No, you didn’t answer many of my questions” replied Bhaktha confused!

When we pray God hears more than we say, answers more than we ask ...

Shiva smiled and said “How can I ‘not answer’?  There was mischief in His voice.

Now Bhaktha understood the question Shiva was asking and corrected his question and reframed the question “well, I meant you were silent!”

Quotes about Prayers answered (71 quotes)

“Now you are right” smiled Shiva “And that exactly is my answer dear” he said “remaining silent is also an answer if you receive it”

God answers all prayers. Just not always the way WE want them ...

“And pray why is it so?” asked the Bhaktha confused.

“Many times it is because you are not in a frame of mind to receive any. You are venting out your anger. You are in accusing mood. Even when I give an answer you don’t want that. You want what you want to hear. How can I answer then?” replied Shiva with smile that said more than words.

Shiva* - One of the Trinity of Vedic philosophy – One of the three aspects of the Creator which runs the show called the Universe.

He is also the ‘Guru’ or the preceptor of the world!

Question answered :

  • Why God takes longer to answer the prayers?
  • When does He not answer?
  • God is insensitive to my woes. why?
Points to be understood :

  • When we pray, are we seeking His blessings or demanding Him to do something for us?
  • If it is prayer that we do, do we really think He knows better than me or not?
  • Do I know more than Him?
  • If I know more than Him, why go to Him?
  • If He knows more than me, then His answer which is not in line with my wish should have some right basis. Right?

On prayers answered!

Keep praying, but be thankful that God's answers are wiser than ...

Now Bhaktha understood what it meant to be eligible to even receive an answer means. Only a mind and heart filled with humility, purity, right intent to correct self, respect and above all readiness to apply the answer will receive an answer!

Answers To Prayers Quotes & Sayings | Answers To Prayers Picture ...

He went back on his experiences and realized that he did not accept the answers even when they were given. But he didn’t keep count of them. Or he justified them as ‘I don’t agree with what you say’.

Yes HE does answer each and every question. Sometimes, His answer is NO.

Why God Sometimes Delays Your Answers to Prayer - Pastor Rick's ...
And sometimes He takes all the garbage that we put on to Him. That HE does by being silent. That is also the answer. Receiving all that we throw and yet not complain, to take all the anger etc without complaining is the LOVE He was made of. That is HIS modus operand. That is how HE operates! That is Love! And HE is LOVE!

And yet our complain remains the same "He is egotist, mean, selfish, arrogant, sadist and what not!"

Nichiren Quote: “A coward cannot have any prayer answered.” (7 ...

And that too He listens! Just listens!

# on prayers answeres, everything happens for a reason, ask and it shall be given, God, prayers, desire

Points to understand and apply in life and way of thinking:

  • What is the role of God in our life?
  • How do we define Him in our life?
  • Do we see Him as a genie who is our servant and is 'supposed' to fulfill our every whim and fancy? And as He is BOUND to do so and hence we have right to call Him names when he doesn't do what we want Him to?
  • And inspite of all these qualities in us, we call ourselves a 'devotee' and deserve to get 'reiki quota' deals?
  • Think about your stand, perception. Look into your feelings and understand where  they come from. Being 'persistent' is totally different from being 'adamant'.
  • If your waiting period is filled with anger, frustration, hatred and envy know you are adamant.

The Mystic says - On prayers being answered!

The Mystic says - On prayers being answered!

The Mystic says “If you call out to Him in pain, He listens. He answers. But, are your ears open enough to listen to Him?”

"अगर आप सच्चे मन से उसे पुकारोगे तो वह ज़रूर सुनता है। और अगर कोई सवाल करो तो वह जवाब ज़रूर देता है।  पर क्या उसके जवाब तुम सुन पाते हो? "

agar aap sacche man se use pukaaroge tho woh zaroor suntha hai. aur agar koi sawaal karo tho woh jawaab zaroor detha hai. par kya uske jawaab tum sun paathe ho?

Now what does ear mean here?

How do we get His answers? Does He shout from sky above?

What are His ways of answering?

Have you asked any questions - ever? Did you receive any answers? How?

When you didn't receive any answers, what do you think could be the reason?

# asking questions, His ways of replying, God's ways of talking to us, ask and it shall be given, seek and it shall be shown,

Me, My Guru – On death and healing

Contd..........

Me, My Guru – On death and healing

The Heart of A Course in Miracles - Michael Mirdad

Trembling with fear and almost sure of the consequence he went to the palace of King of Kashi. He chanted the name of ‘Narayana’ in the ears of just born prince of Kashi. To the surprise of everyone present there and Sage Narada, the kid sat up and started talking “Salutations of you, oh Divine Sage Narada!” Thank you for your grace and kind act of reciting Narayana mantra in my ears when I was a worm. I died and was born as butterfly. Again you recited Narayana mantra and I died again to be born as deer. Then I died as deer to be born a calf. I died as calf to be born a human prince. Did you still not understand the power of Narayana mantra? The birth as human is got after 86,000 janmas in various lower life forms. And I got it so effortlessly and so fast, all thanks to you”.

Thank you to those of you who are offering love, healing and ...
Narada was stunned beyond words. With tears rolling down his cheeks he ran towards Vaikuntam – the abode of Krishna. He fell on his feet and thanked him for the experience and for giving him a life that could recite the sweet name of Narayana so many times” she concluded with a smile.

There was silence that we wanted to drink.

“Does that mean people are dying because we are chanting?” asked Vaishnav.

a course in miracles oprah - slubne-suknie.infoWe all laughed. Some people asked doubts that only reflect their stupidity. Person’s understanding capacity reflect in his questions clearly. And his perception, in his complaints!

How stupid we all were to think we can hide our ‘real self’ for long! No! it came out in such instances. Here we could see his level of understanding or should I say misunderstanding? But then, so did others see ours which we were not aware of in such situations and questions. Isn’t it?

(This is one of my personal favourites as it is simple, short and yet profound story on faith. If understood in all its layers it can be applied every where in our life and lo! our life becomes one hell of 'happening, beautiful, purposeful and joyful'. If understood is the condition though - not if argued....)

Points to be understood :
  • Isn't it funny that being a speck we wish to gauge the greatness of the Ocean?
  • To correct a 10th class paper don't I at least need to have passed 10th class? And logic says I should be more than a just 10th class holder to correct that paper...isn't it?
  • So, by telling Universe, Reiki and God how to run my this world am I saying I know more than HIM?
  • If I know more about my needs and about myself and God doesn't know anything better then why go to Him at all?
  • Not knowing that we don't know is the biggest curse of our life!
Questions answered : You tell me what questions of yours have been answered here?

Life Facts :

Yesterday, I made vadiyalu (Indian fryums) ....i was sweating thanks to the hot sun and the heat which is unbearable.........but i wasn't complaining.....today i didn't do anything and I was making comments on the heat and the unbearable aspect of 'this summer'.

It was then that someone reminded that yesterday I was under sun for so long and then in front of the gas burner making vadiyalu and i wasn't complaining. Today I was sitting under the fan and complaining non-stop. They laughed at me!

It was then it stuck me. When we are otherwise engaged in some activity which is dear to us, the facts of life don't have an effect on us (here it being sun and heat). But when we have free time, our mind goes on a 'joy trip of self-pity, fault finding, suffering and complaining'.

Situation was not the cause of my complaint or suffering. I didn't have a 'valid purpose' in my life and so i looked for it in all and sundry. And since I didn't know to love all that was in my life or all that i could do, i ended up crying about 'something' that was missing in life.

Now I hated this summer and its heat more than ever for giving me this realization. It took away my reason to complain.

Maya

Maya - the Illusion

The Monkey way!

One day, a monkey by name Lalchiram was very hungry. In his search for food, he came across a surai (a pot like container with a very small opening) with groundnuts in it. He very happily put his hand inside the surai, filled his palms with groundnut and tried to get his hand outside the surai. He couldn’t do it. He tried in vain but to no avail. He became tired, tensed and also very much angry. But, none of his reactions could solve the issue. However much he tried he couldn’t get to bring his hands outside surai.

A Buddha passing by, understood the situation, came near and said “just leave the groundnuts and get your hand out of the surai”. The monkey was puzzled at first. He said “But, I am hungry. How can I leave what I have come searching for?” Buddha smiled and explained “For a handful of groundnuts, how can you risk your life? Leave the groundnuts, go search elsewhere for the food.” The monkey Lalchiram thought “This man is trying to eat my groundnuts. So, he is asking me to drop them and run away from here. He is trying to frighten me. But, I have already decided not to leave these groundnuts for anything.” So saying, he held on to the groundnuts and left his body.

It was Lalchiram’s greed that brought his end. And to think of it, he didn’t even enjoy the groundnuts the greed of which saw to his end. What a pity! This is what greed does to us and our life!

Whenever we invite greed to take over our senses, we not only cannot enjoy what we are greedy for, we in the process die slow but sure death also. Peace and happiness is the compulsory price we pay the moment greed enters our life!

What is the symptom that our wants are greed based?

a) First is, it makes us restless till we get it.
b) We want to possess it come what may.
c) We are not bothered about the means of possessing it.
d) Possessing it is the only thing that drives our reasoning.
e) Over the period it becomes our obsession and zidd.
f) Manipulation becomes our key way of functioning to get it.
g) We just stop bothering about our losses – be it physical, emotional or spiritual.
h) The worst stage would be when we are ready to harm others too just to get the object of our desire.
i) Jealousness becomes our second nature.
j) Mindset that says others have/get more than what they deserve and we have/get less than what we deserve.
k) We are not able to celebrate in others joys. (Know anymore?)

The things that we wish to acquire through greed are:

a) All physical possessions: food, clothes, jewellery, vehicles, houses and property, gifts, cash and any such possessions
b) Name, fame, posts, success, job, career, business, degrees – you name it, it’s there
c) Even relationships can be lived out of lust….
d) Our prayers are also greed oriented – wanting something in exchange for our poojas, japas, pradakshinas etc. When we don’t get our prayers answered the way we want them, we even stop praying till our next need forces us to kneel in front of him to ask for it. In the in between period we even go to the extent of saying “I don’t believe in prayers and God anymore. I have stopped doing it.”

How do I know that my wish is out of greed?

Any wish that is coming out of emptiness is out of greed. Whenever we think that the emptiness in me can be filled by the possessions that I desire to have or the relationships that I wish to live, then it is a sure sign that the greed is the basic factor of that desire.

Even after fulfillment, emptiness doesn’t go. It extends the yardstick of achievement further on to feel miserable and empty. Then we complain “I am working so hard, yet am so unhappy.” What we don’t tend to see is “I am working so hard to be unhappy.”

Greed functions like a ‘blackhole’. However much I try to fill it, it still is empty. The world has enough to fulfill every man’s need, but doesn’t have enough to fill even one man’s greed.

दिल-ऐ-नादान तुजे हुआ क्या है?
आख़िर इस दर्द की दावा क्या है?
हम को उन से वफ़ा ही है उम्मीद
जो नहीं जाने वफ़ा क्या है?

oh you innocent heart, what's become of you?
what is the way out of this pain?
i long for loyalty from the one
who knows not what loyalty is?

This would be the summed up position of the self! and the tragedy is inspite of others telling that just by dropping our greed we can be happy, we don't see reason in it!!!!!

The only way to minimize if not fully do away with greed or ‘kama’ is ‘sadhan’. And the techniques again are more or less the same old routine : (is it not beautiful that the same technique attacks so many of my ‘vikaras’ – negativities at one go).

a) Full body reiki
b) Mediation (only in mediation are we really able to separate ourselves from our sense organs and this separation is the only way we can ultimately see the Truth!)
c) Practice Mindfulness
d) Re-birth meditation with greed
e) Let go with greed
f) Homam (it develops surrender bhava in us that helps grace descend which makes it easy to drop these vikaras)
g) Start and maintain reiki groups which would work as remainders to practice sadhan

Wishing you clarity of thought that would make you see reason in sadhan and in dropping all these limitations of your Self is

and stop beating up yourself with 'self pity' and wallowing in self-pity in the name of wanting 'happiness and good people' in your life always......that is the mantra for suffering ONLY....

only healing will 'slowly and steadily' get you out of this 'state of mind' and let you experience the abundance called 'happiness' which is nothing but reflection of your state of mind.....but yes, it doesn't happen overnight...some have got it in couple of years and others in a decade and still others - well they are still groping in darkness inspite of holding 'all the degrees' of reiki.....if you don't work on yourself and your perspective no degree and no amount of attending classes can get you there....but attending classes and completing degrees can give you an understanding of problem in your perspective and ways to heal it and remind you to hold on to healing even when the goal looks unachievable and unreal...that's all....

not everyone in the world heals or in the path of sadhan......and most of them are going from bad to worst as years progress in their lives...you can also chose to be one among them...no one can question you on that...or you can chose to learn what needs to be learned, heal what needs to be healed, change your perspective, develop clarity of thought and work towards emptying that 'painful and confused' heart and mind of yours so that you can experience the joy of 'existence' that is already yours but which you are not able to experience because of all that clutter that is in there...

'you are creating your world and all that it encompasses' - till you accept that and sit to change the way you are 'creating your world' you'll never come out of your suffering.....

on prayers.....

in my prayers i wished for my death...
God replied "I would fulfill your wish but
what about him who has asked for your life in his every prayer"...

agreed, sometimes our wishes don't seem to be answered but have you thought about a reason that could have supposedly stopped it from its fulfillment......?

we will never have all our questions answered, but there is an answer for our every question...just because we don't or can't see it doesn't make the situation 'wrong'...

everything can never be right for anyone but we can certainly make  and take something right from everything that we have.......the choice is ours to make ...are we going to curse our fate and throw the milk that is spoiled or make 'paneer' (indian cheese) out of it and celebrate a special dish.....

on prayer!

Often I've realised that the pain I suffered was not so much as my prayers not being answered, but that they have been.

It was so for many years. Then i realised that i didn't suffer because my prayers were granted but i asked for what i shouldn't have and need not have.

It was then that I held reiki and God responsible for my suffering as they didn't stop from giving what i asked of them.

Years later, i found that i received all that i asked for and not all that i received i suffered. So why was i pointing fingers at them when i also rejoiced with  what i asked for?

It took years of introspection and sadhan to understand that i didn't know to ask. And then i changed my prayers to "Teach me to pray" and then i had less complaints and....

then i prayed "Teach me to have faith in you and accept all that you give me with a cheer"....now i suffer less......

let's see what this holds for me now.......
