On Chanting!

 Contd.....

On Chanting!

What was the return they got?

They experienced joy of completion and confidence that they could stretch their ability to take in more work. They didn’t look beyond that. They were just happy with this joy. They joy of completion gave them a high that they considered that itself as their reward for completion of set number of malas.

They enjoyed ‘the act’ of and that is the actual state of ‘karma-yoga’ that one needs to develop, live and apply in every walk and act of his! This ‘extra’ is for touching that ‘state’ and experience it. Now, the smart among them will slowly push it into other areas – slowly and steadily! This ‘extra’ is for that!

Act by itself gives result same to all! Here it means number of malas chanted will give same returns – logically. But in reality one receives more than the other – always!

Why? Because of his state of mind while doing sadhan and the intention behind doing that sadhan.

One person desires results in exchange for his sadhan. His desire is based on ‘kama’. The other person’s desire is to survive to be able to do more sadhan.

And the other enjoys the act of doing and feels fulfilled. He is not even bothered about the results. For him just the completion of that act is 'the result' that he is looking for!

Who do you think will find his desire fulfilled immediately? One thinks it is his right to ‘demand results’ in exchange for his sadhan.

Questions answered :

  • What is the benefit of giving without expectations?
  • Why our scriptures always asks us to do the work and forget the fruits of it? What is meant by that?
  • How can one work without expecting anything in return?
  • What is the secret of receiving abundance in life? How do I apply it in my life?
  • If giving guarantees receiving then can I get away by giving huge amounts as charity after committing a crime?
  • Can giving negate my ill intentions?
Points to understand :
  • No amount of sadhan is good enough unless it transforms our lower nature and takes us towards our higher self.
  • Sadhan is rightly used ONLY when it is used to transform  our nature.
  • People do use sadhan as a means to fulfillment of their desires. They are also right. But they are at the lowest step in the ladder of spirituality.
  • Person who uses sadhan as a means to change his way of 'doing sadhan' i.e., when his intentions become purer and purer over time - that reflects that he has used his 'logic' and 'mind' the right way.
  • Person who uses mind to demand the results of his sadhan is being fooled by his mind. His mind controls him and that is the cause of his suffering and his pain. In the process he also becomes pain to the people around him. No doubt he is not popular in any group.
  • Every sadhan is there to rub our selfishness off us and let our selflessness shine forth. That brilliance of ours is for the world to see and acknowledge. That is the brilliance that will radiate truthfulness, purity of our intent and honesty of our character. That in turn will bring right people in our life. It will attract right situations in our life. That will bring abundance in all spheres of our life.

On Chanting!

On Chanting!

During the last 10-15 days, i chanted  MM Chanting all day long along with reiki on and this was sent to all those who completed 250 malas of MM....

Chanting gives benefits - to each unto his own!

No chanting goes waste. Nobody’s goes waste! Everyone receives as he ‘chants’.

Why extra for people who did 250 malas? Is it the number?

No! It is not just the number. Number is just a figure that represents their ‘choice’. I gave all choice to choose the no. of malas that one wants to chant. And the people who chanted 250 are the ones who are eager to do sadhan not the easy way or of easy target. Most of them are busy with jobs etc and yet they chose that number. It shows commitment from their end. So, the extra is appreciating their ‘commitment’.

The willingness to work beyond enough is a wonderful attitude. This ‘extra’ is kudos to that!

They did it out of sheer you not expecting anything in return. For that nature of working without expectation – this ‘extra’! Throughout there was eagerness to complete, joy while chanting and smile on their lips. There was no frowning, no sounds of ‘abbaaa or ammaaa’ before sitting to chant daily. This ‘extra’ is for that attitude that they had while chanting – the attitude of enjoying the work taken. They weren’t doing it to show off to me or any one in particular. They weren’t doing it to later ask or demand returns for this chanting. They just did! They did out of ‘attitude’ that work given is worth doing and doing it with joy.

What was the return they got?

Points to understand and questions addressed:

  • Why do we receive whatever we receive - be it people or situations in life?
  • What is the basis of karma?
  • Why we don't receive whatever we want?
  • How intention plays a major role in our returns...
  • Two people doing the same act receive different returns - why?
  • How to use the 'law of receiving what you give' to bring more abundance in our life?
  • Look within. Know yourself. Meditate about self. Meditate on self. Know what your true intentions are and change them accordingly to suffer less from the consequences of what you reap as your destiny.

Where less is more!

Where less is more!

It is not about having less or having some deficiency in life. Baat kam ki ya pir kami ki kabhi nahi thi!

बात कम की या फिर कमी की कभी थी ही नहीं।

What we lack is not the cause of our ‘unhappiness’. The assumption that ‘what we lack’ is the only source of our happiness – well, that assumption is the cause of our unhappiness.

We assume that if we ‘get’ what we lack we’ll end up being happy. It can be anything from physical well-being, the type of partner that we assume is right for us, financial abundance, success, recognition and so on and so forth!

But that is not the case and hence we end up being unhappy even after getting ‘what we lack’ one after the other. Heal that mindset! Heal ‘the assumption’ that something ‘owned and used’ can give me happiness. Become free of this ‘wrong assumption’ and experience happiness – now and here – now and forever!

This is the secret of happiness! This is the way to end pain and suffering in life!

On gratitude and trust!

On gratitude and trust!

We talk about having trust and yet one small incident that is not pleasing to us and we are angry and shout “Why is Reiki giving me this inspite of doing sadhan?”

When there is ‘Trust’ not just in word and as word but as a state of mind, it makes miracles happen effortlessly.

Where there is ‘demand’ to have miracles happen in life, we push miracles away from us!

When we think we are ‘entitled’ to miracles and ask “If such things happen to others, why my wish can’t be fulfilled?” OR

“Nothing of this sort of miracle happened ever to me!?”

It happens to everyone and every time. But the complaining mouth and ungrateful heart only finds faults. He cannot see the miracle happening. Even when pointed, he is bound to say “Oh, those small small things happen but this desire….” He thinks he can put Reiki/Guru to work by making them feel worthless and with guilt. NO! It only reflects his attitude of ingratitude. It reflects his demanding nature. It reflects his greed. It reflects who he is and we receive everything in life based on ‘who’ we are and not on what we want! Remember that! So work on who you are instead of what you want and see your path laid up with roses. The one with faith will see roses and the one who is adamant, demanding, selfish will show thorns there!

Now, coming to our Reiki channel - She had faith. Then what did I have when I said ‘see, Reiki arranged you to have such a good senior…?’. Gratitude! Seeing the good in what is happening in our life and being grateful for that is ‘gratitude’.

One should have both gratitude and faith if you want to enjoy this path more and more. It is filled with miracles in every step of our life. But the sight is visible for only those with these attitudes. For others it is filled with questions and accusations like “yes maam, but…..” and “…but why not to me?...”

Your worthiness is based on the qualities and attitudes that you drop and develop. See what you have worth dropping and what you lack which you need to pick. Choose wisely! Develop clarity of thought to make right choices. Otherwise, whole life is lost only in pointing fingers instead of using fingers to count the blessings and miracles!

# gratitude, trust, belief, things going right, pleasant and right decisions,

What did you understand from this post?
Which doubt /question of yours have been addressed?
The right post is one that shakes your belief system and your way of thinking. Did this post do that job?

Points to ponder :
  • Ingratitude and complaining nature has been discussed so many times and it has been told that it is the nature that needs to be left behind. Not because it is bad or sin to own it but because those are the qualities that are detrimental for our well-being - be it materialistic or for our mental peace and well-being.
  • Then what is the nature that causes this ingratitude and complaining nature. Have you thought about it?
  • The one big quality is 'the way we condition how our life should be'.
  • When we want to control the conditions and quality of our life we expect it to go in a 'very certain' way and any deviation puts us off and we go mad with irritation, stress, anger, disappointment and what not!
Sit in meditation on this and come back with your insights.....experiences and all........

On gratitude and trust!

On gratitude and trust!

One Reiki channel was doing reiki to get a seat in a certain course for 4 whole years. She got it and later told me about a wonderful senior who was very helpful which made her adjusting in new environment effortless. She had asked couple of times during her ‘trying time’ why she didn’t get it inspite of doing Reiki for so long. Now I told her ‘See Reiki had to arrange for this senior to be in a position to help you and guide you right. All pieces have fallen in place now. Can’t you see?’

The answer that Reiki channel gave was classic. It reflected her maturity and understanding of how Reiki functions beyond her age. She simply smiled and said “Reiki would have found me a guide and senior similar to them anywhere I got seat. Only name and form would have been different. But the quality that is helping me would be found in any person I meet where reiki sends me!”

Now that is ‘Trust’. Trust says wherever Reiki/Guru/God/Universe places me (if and when I am in sadhan) that is absolutely right for me and it is good for me too. We need not be ADAMANT about receiving what we want. Just ask and let Reiki decide how to package it. IT WILL BE GOOD ONLY! This is faith! This is Trust! This is Belief!

Points to question and to be understood :

  • What is the difference between trust and being grateful?
  • Trust is not the word used to tell God or Guru so that they are forced to fulfill our demands.
  • Trust doesn't mean we get what we desire.
  • Trust means we get what is 'right' for us.
  • Trust also means if we are denied our 'demand list' than there is a greater good and higher love even in that 'denial'.
  • Trust means we trust his 'love' to be higher and nobler enough to see to our higher good even when we are doubting him and pounding him with hate words.
  • When a parent takes away a knife from a child's hand sometimes even by slapping the child does it mean parent is bad or doesn't love his child. Infact, in his act of hitting the child is his love for child expressed. Not every act of love is buying gifts and giving gifts to his child. Every act of discipline is also an act of love.
  • If you can understand this, you'll understand why we receive few 'slaps' by way of 'ill health', tough situations, denied or delayed wishes, tough people in our life.
  • Think for once from the point of 'how has HE enveloped HIS love for me in this situation?' instead of asking 'but He is not supposed to do this no...?'

Note : Appreciate you for going through the old posts as requested many times before and also sharing your inputs on the same.
Appreciate also the fact that you are in sadhan on reg. basis.
Appreciate all those who completed 250 + malas of chanting MM in the allotted time.

A small HW : those who have done set no. of malas of chanting MM do a small HW.
Sit in meditation. Take time and do this exercise. Take time. Do it more than once to get right results. Sit at least once per day for atleast 3-4 days to get results. More days is also welcome.
Look within and see what changes you notice within you - before and after MM chanting. Look for physical changes (like some acidity or headache gone etc), emotional change etc.
Look at your mental status too. Look at all areas. Note it down. And then share it on blog if you please.
Those who do this exercise will have so many of their doubts, questions answered in one go.
