God

….contd…………….

You see ‘the period of rest’ is at work in the entire universe. After flowering period comes autumn when the trees shed their leaves bare them and it is rejuvenating time for the nature to create again.

Sun, starts after expanding for millions of years – start contracting and finally die out. The entire world – universe expands and contracts – that is day and night of universe. We too expand during day (don’t worry not literally!) i.e., go out into the world and reach out to the things of the world. We expand. At night, during sleep we go within and nothing then matters. Bank balance, relationships, social and political issues – nothing matter – we experience only peace and bliss – because we contract into our selves – but since it is not filled with ‘consciousness’ – it is tamasic in nature – but contact we do for sure!

Imagine – at night due to darkness, as if the entire universe is trying to go within, trying to find the self, contracting within and in contraction finds peace, contentment and bliss. How ironic!

And we thought we could have them in expansion and hence went ahead with all the achievements into the world seeking them – when in actuality it was within. Night is a remainder of this Truth – on daily basis.  A remainder to go within – seek self.

The body repairs itself at night – scientifically also proven. It digests the food and gets ready to face the day again. Something like ‘maintenance of aircraft, train etc’ after it’s allotted flight.

In short, it’s about bringing balance in the creation. But, as you can see in the outer world, the eco-system, character, attitudes, everything is degenerating and Dharma losing its hold and when this pollution or imbalance of energy goes way beyond the corrective limits, the Lord out of his immense ‘Love’ absorbs the entire creation into ‘Himself’ which is called ‘Night of the Lord’ – the MahaPralaya.

Something like ‘no more moves possible’ state in ‘solitaire game in computer’. Then all you do is click ‘do you want to play this game again/ or play different game?’ option. Then the game is wiped from screen and game started/new game introduced on to screen. This is exactly how we can imagine ‘the deluge and the great deluge’.

God

….contd……..

Now, what’s the difference between the night of human and the God? We go into tamasic sleep and he doesn’t sleep. He goes into yoga nidhra. He’ll collect himself within and be lost within himself.

Next in every religion like Christianity, islam and like, it is stated that the Lord created world in 6 days and took ‘rest’ on the 7th day and hence Sunday is the day of ‘rest’. This is wrongly understood as ‘inaction of God’ and hence ‘we relax i.e, do no work’ on Sunday. But, the actual purpose or meaning was – He created for 6 days and on 7th sat back and looked at His creation – pleased and contended. That day, is a remainder for us to enquire at the wonderment called ‘this world’ and think and to seek ‘the Creator’ of this beautiful, complex world. It’s a day to seek Him. Not blindly go to a place of worship, read few lines, come home prepare heavy meal, eat and sleep – No. every creator doesn’t continuously create – he creates, then sits back to look at his creation, enjoy his work, relish it and then go back to creation after that.

‘Pralaya’ or the ‘The Flood’ happens after completion of every Kalpa i.e., after completion of four yugas – Satya, Treta, Dwapar and Kali. Put together they constitute one kalpa. After completion of every kalpa, there is a ‘deluge’ – a ‘Pralaya’. After many such ‘Pralayas’ come ‘Mahapralaya’ – the Great deluge’ when the entire universe is submerged under water. This is called the ‘Night of the Lord’.

Our night constitutes of 12 hours. But the nights of higher beings are long when compared to earth day and night. That way, the ‘Ultimate one’s’ night is one long period. (Already explained in detail in reiki meet).

Sleep is tamasic. But sleep during night is a must for body to get rejuvenated for next day. That sleep is a ‘period of rest’ and not considered ‘tamasic in nature’. If a person sleeps for more than 8/9 hrs /day and especially during day, it’s tamasic. What with night duries et all it’s become necessary evil. Then, the person becomes tamasic in nature. Yes, person’s gunas develop depending upon his habits. But, that’s for some other time.

Qualities of God

Refer to post dt.: Thursday, October 9, 2014 and comment ..."is only one night for the Almighty". What does the above line exactly mean? I mean Day & Night also looks like Dwanda's.. like joy-sorrow,profit-loss. We often quote saying that God is above Dwanda's then what is the actual meaning of Day & Night of God's World? Over that as far as I know, Sleep is related to Tamasic Guna.. then what does God do during this so called "Night"..
Can you please explain this mam?

(Such question make me realize that you are not just looking at blog, but reading it minutely and looking at minute details which is squeezed along with the general explanation. Nice!

I’ll explain this, but remember, if you try to understand it with senses it is no understanding. You start with senses no doubt – but move on to your core – slowly but surely. Don’t think if you’ve understood an example which is of this world as complete understanding. Example is a finger I am suing to point at the ‘Absolute’. The pointer cannot be the pointed. Example can’t be the explanation. It’s only a simile or a metaphorical way of understanding – but real understanding comes only through sadhan – so how much ever you understand the word, the essence can’t be through the words. That should be done only through sadhan. So, please, I repeat please stick to Sadhan (sadhan means regular spiritual practices like reiki, pranayamam (breathing exercises), meditation et like) regularly – doesn’t matter ½ an hour or 1 hr but preferably daily – which will eventually connect you to understand what I am trying to explain intuitively.

Vaibhav, your question has the answer in it. You’ve stated God is above ‘dwandas’ i.e., duality and that how can God have night?

First what is duality – it is good/bad, cold/hot, hate/love – these are the qualities. And yes, HE is ‘above qualities’ – ‘Gunatheetha’ but night is time zone and that is not quality or attitude. Night is not HIS nature. Confused? O.k. assume me going above good/bad, cold/hot etc, will time not exist for me? Night will still exist for me. I’ll still go through nature’s cycle of day/night, seasons etc. didn’t night not exist for Krishna, Sai baba or Devas? No, time did exist for them too. Time is related to nature and it is a natural phenomena that is independent of the individuals. It exists for all. Then how is God above time – like you and me, past doesn’t hold him nor future unknown to him. He doesn’t have a beginning or an end. That way HE’s above dualities but still Day and Night exist in the Universe. It’s like saying since saint and sinner are same for me they stop existing in the world – because for me they both mean the same. Is it clear?

They both mean the same doesn’t mean that stop existing or behaving the way they are. It just means I behave the same way with both. Their effect on me is nil. Clear?

The art of asking questions

The art of asking Question

Dear ones,

As you know, I write this blog to facilitate your understanding of ‘self’. And this starts with the enquiry – enquiry into the nature and character of things, People and above all self – i.e., the mind of ‘self’. I try my best to answer your queries. And some of you don’t want your names or query published – fine – but yet your query is addressed.

If you think ‘his questions’ are answered in detail’, then instead of seeing ‘who is asking’ look at ‘how he is asking’ – I mean the wordings of the question. That’s why, I usually refer ‘comment dt: …….’ And then explain the question. This is to bring your notice to the question and then let you see how it’s answered. Answer does depend totally on the question. I’ve explained it so many times to you. Infact, the I dg. Class starts with my explanation ‘how to ask what you want to ask’ and I stress the importance of ‘right way of asking question’. It just doesn’t come to us. It’s an art. Yes, asking the right question the right way is an art and like any art takes years of practice to make it perfect. And so, I encourage you to ask questions here. So, that you develop that great art. Because, at the end of the day, success/failure, peace/confusion rests totally on the question asked.

For start instead of asking simply ‘explain XXX’ see the way it can be asked in such a way to get the detailed answer. Look at posts which are explained in detail ad associate them with their query. Learn – otherwise, our entire exercise is waste.

Don’t be shy or afraid of asking – but be humble to learn – to seek and above all be available to learning. Imagine a situation where the following questions are posed and imagine the resultant response too –

1.       Are you angry?

2.       I see you are angry, what can I do to dissipate it?

3.       This anger is eating into our relationship, what do we do to go through this situation calmly and to just experience this issue?

Will there not be difference in the response to above 3 questions? Both the parties involved are same in all the situation yet response is different in all situation – reason – the question.

Likewise, my answer depends on your questions. See, read and learn. This is very important attitude that one should develop to grow in life.

And yes, when your question is answered, I wouldn’t mind reading atleast ‘understood’ as your  feedback in the comments section.

Yes, I sometimes I choose to explain from your comments that you post explaining your understanding – eg. Aparna’s comment dt.Tuesday, August 26, 2014 and the result are the posts dt.October 19,2014 to October 29, 2014.  So, your sharing of your experience may also help you in getting clarity further on the subject. So write (in the comments section)

Keep enquiring, keep learning and keep growing……..

All the best for the same.

On doing good

EVERY ONE KNOWS ABOUT ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL WHO INVENTED THE TELEPHONE, BUT HE NEVER MADE A CALL TO HIS FAMILY. BECAUSE, HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER WERE DEAF. THAT'S LIFE "

Not every good that you do may be of use to your near and dear, still do it" .

Abundance

If you want to lead a life of abundance, then ‘drop’ – drop all is dead and stinking in yourself….not because I tell you to, not even because it is said in puranas, not because it is ethically right – because by doing so, you are bringing in more possibility of abundance into your own life – abundance of physical well being, emotional balance and financial well being too!

How this luggage removes possibility of abundance from our lives? - abundance of physical well-being, emotional well-being and financial well being too!

Every single emotion such as anger, greed, frustrations, hatred, jealousy et like stem from the centre that is EMPTY - Centre that is YOU. Emptiness can’t be filled inspite of being dumped with all and sundry. Nature has the golden rule – “It gives back in abundance what you give to Nature. As I am giving emptiness, I get only that in abundance back – maybe wrapped in goodies sometimes but emptiness nevertheless…”.

For example, anger gives out helplessness, feeling of wronged, frustrations and a sense of not being understood. This energy goes out to the world and creates such returns to me only. So, I’ll be put in situation where I would feel helpless, feeling of wronged, frustrated and misunderstood. Now, that the situation is real, I would react again with the same feelings – may be with higher degree and it becomes a vicious circle. It has a snowball effect on the chain of events that follow in my life. First feeling is the seed that is called karma and it branches out as a situation or an event in the near or distant (sometimes long forgotten) future where the fruits are going to be of the same seed – remember. If I planted a seed of anger, my tree would give out fruits of frustrations, anger, helplessness etc. But the funny part is I plant one seed and from it comes thousands of fruits – all bitter and sour and painful to me. And the tree comes out in my life as a situation or an event. When I was not comfortable with one seed of anger, no doubt I suffer more with the thousands of fruits of anger lying all around me in my house and backyard.

The next reason is once I am surrounded by this energy I would attract similar energies only. Since, there is no spelling of abundance in this energy, I don’t experience it in my life. Life is such a plate in which only few things can be accommodated. I have already filled it with anger, frustrations, jealousy etc, then where is the place for good and happening things in my life? So, if I want abundance, then I should be letting go off anger so that I am available for abundance in my life. And letting go means to forgive and move on in life…

Karela ka jhaad bo kar mein aam kit ho intezaar nahi kar sakthi na? after sowing seeds of bitter gourd, I can’t expect it to give out mangoes…

It’s all the game of energies, what you create, you experience. So create with little more responsibility – towards your sweet self only and with awareness…because what you sow, so you reap!

Attitudes regarding financial aspects

The one attitude that always seems to bother me is – “Why do we find it irritating/ painful to wait to receive our money be it salary, remuneration or the debts that others owe us? How many of us will be happy to wait for our salaries to be paid to us say after couple of years…?

But, take our own time in paying back the debts……with statements like “I have money but don’t have time to come to you to pay”, “oh, but, she never asks and I have so many other expenses in my life…..” "she is so lucky. people come to her and pay her her due even after 5-6 years......."

Why do I have different rules for receiving and giving? Think….
