Deepavali – Eco-friendly or tradition?

Deepavali – Eco-friendly or tradition?

Now the much talked about topic surfaces as Deepavali is just round the corner. The questions that come up are:

a.Burning of crackers is bad for environment. Do we have to do it?

b.I’ve a pet. It hates crackers. Why can’t people be animal friendly and not light crackers.

c.People of other community are trying to kill our religion, so don’t listen to them. Burn crackers.

So on and so forth!

I am not here today to discuss any of these topics. You can ride on any roller-coaster ride and enjoy its ups and down.

You can choose which ride to take. You can choose to suffer various depleating emotions as you please.

No discussions there!

This is exclusively ONLY for those who WANT  to fire crackers and yet are GUILTY of polluting the environment.

Buy crackers as you wish.

Those who have the guilt of firing them, just buy say 20% less than what you usually do! (20% percentage is a random number. You can choose your %)

Just burn them one week ahead of Deepavali.

That way “pollution” tag is done with.

You’ve enjoyed following tradition and yet kept guilt away.

Now, on the day of Deepavali go to your terrace with popcorn and a flask of tea. Enjoy the night sky filled with crackers.

When we are burning crackers we don’t tend to look around. Now, we are free to. Enjoy the sight.

It’s beautiful!

It’s surreal!

Enjoy the night. Be with this experience for 4-5 hours if you please.

This could be your best family bonding moment. Each member pointing to one side of the sky. You’ll make wonderful memories guiltfree!

Let’s distribute the amount of crackers burnt over the week. We can reduce its impact that way!

Enjoy your Deepavali!

We do not burn crackers at all since Gurgaon is very polluted already due to stubble burning.
