on praising others...

further to the comment :

Here, i would say i wouldn't answer this now...

let's go about in search of this answer in a bit different way....

You people say you 'believe' and have 'faith' in me......let's 'assume' that to be true 100% for this time....then it means you 'believe' my word - right? Then based on that assumption 'my statement' is already 'right'. Now it is for you to come up with examples and reasons to prove it or your understanding that it is true......

It is like in maths. We take the 'hypothesis' and go around proving it by various ways. similarly, I want you to listen and look around you for instances when people 'praise' you or others and then - well you know what and how to go about from there......

in short, you tell why 'praising' others is called the curse of kaliyuga......how it is harmful..........

will wait till you come back with your experience...

Ok. I can think of only two now

1) Well, my grandmother used to warn my mother not to praise us kids in front of us so that we dont become arrogant and self centered.

2) Sometimes people start praising and commenting on others as soon as they meet them like "Hi, you look amazing. Nice dress, blah blah" and the next minute they expect some response from the other side. Just a simple thank you wont do, they expect similar praise in return or it is supposed to be insulting :P

Will add more if I figure it out.
