why we shouldn't be angry at others?

…contd….

Have you gone into ‘Hall of Mirrors’? It’s a room (usually kept in an exhibition) where varying types of mirrors are kept. When you go and stand in front of the mirrors, you look reed like in one and like cartoon characters Obelix in another. Like-wise you look odd yet different in each of the mirrors. But, at the end of it, it’s all you ONLY. So, how can you call those images ugly? You just laugh at your images knowing fully well that they are just images which are ugly and not the real YOU. The mirror makes them look like that.

Like-wise, when we realize that we are not the body, mind or intellect, we know we are souls – Divine, complete and eternal. And it is the same soul in the other person too! Since, it’s the same one as you, you both are same. So, how can you hate him though his image was disgusting, the real one was nothing but YOU? Image here means the ‘personality that includes attitudes, character, tastes, clarity of thought, perception et like.

Just as water in the ditch which is dirty, water in a vessel, water kept in freezer which has become ice and the boiling water are the same at the end of the day – Hydrogen plus oxygen. Yet water from ditch when drunk can even kill a person if his infection is untreated, whereas ice can reduce the fever and steam from boiling water can burn us. Water being same its effects are different depending upon its state of existence. Like-wise, as soul we all are same – Divine, eternal, love, complete yet are different by way of our effect on others because of our ‘state of existence’. Like some when they enter the room they bring happiness with them and the rest, they give happiness when they leave the room. The difference is in their ‘State of existence’ and that is because we manifest differently.

No one reached the top without having to climb the first step. The climb may be slow or fast but is always from 1 to above. So, people with limited clarity of thought just mean they are at the lower steps of their ‘soul journey’. It’s a place where I was yesterday. So, how can I get irritated at him? At most, I should sympathize with him because having gone through that stage; I should know what it’s like to be there. So, if you wish you can lend a hand and bring them up or support them by being patient and giving them clarity of thought.

If your irritation takes over your compassion, no problem just let go and move on but don’t get irritated at them. Just bless them and avoid them if you can.
