Heaven or hell – we have a choice at every single point of time in our life. But it is not a place where you go once, simply sit, relax and see Apsaras (heavenly damsels) perform for you. No; in life come situations one after the other. They are physical challenges like some ailment or so, financial challenges of life and some come as events of life. Every time you falter, worry, anger, remember you are creating and living in hell. The moment you realize, accept it, sit and heal it, you turn that hell into heaven. So simple! Create multiple heavens each day of your life and lo! Before long your life is a journey from one heaven to the other.

Let’s suppose we have created 890 hells and 1000 heavens. The overall effect in our life and of our life is 1000-890=110 heavens. So satisfied, happy and successful life! That’s simple maths for you. If life be compared to an ocean, bountiful are the treasures of this ocean. Do you dare to take a dive into it? Bountiful are the beauties of this ocean. Care to play in this ocean? Heaven and hell are not destinations to be reached. They are our every day choices. You decide your choice. You decide your experience of heaven or hell. Nevertheless, keep healing; the process though doubtful, boring, uneventful at the start or at any point of time, will finally lead to the end of the tunnel. And yes there is light at the end of the tunnel!”

Our Guruji finished her explanation. She usually gave a gap in between her explanation but it came in one go today. Was it the topic? Was it her mood? Or maybe something else. We each stuck to our assumptions. 

“Then what does Guru do in all this?” asked Vaishnav.

“If a person is one of the few who has one then, Guru shows and points him the choices he takes that would lead him to hell. Guru would suggest and explain why choices of heaven are the better ones. Guru would show him the reasons of his choices of hell and heaven. Guru can make one aware of the past errors and mistakes repeatedly so that he doesn’t make a similar one in the future. Every time a sadhak falters, Guru can tell the exact reason for his slip. Guru can see that getting up from his fall is easier and worthwhile. Guru can teach him techniques to stay on the path. He can keep questioning him on his choices in various tones to push him towards his own self good! Sadhak in his ignorance is naturally inclined towards his “hell” of choices. Guru can give techniques and prick him in right places so that he develops clarity of thought. Guru can stand by him till ‘making choices’ that create heaven for sadhak becomes his nature. 

                                               

Guru can do just all of this. All other parts sadhak has to do! Guru can show the choices and their consequences. To choose them and walk on them, well that totally depends on the sadhak or a Shishya here. No Guru can force a student to walk ‘the right path’. That is against the universal rule of ‘freewill’. Guru would stand by him patiently as he falls and get up umpteen number of times, cheering him, cajoling him, taunting him but all in the hope that he gets the will to get up from the quicksand of ‘wrong association of mind’ or ‘wrong identification of his ego’. This is where Guru’s job ends!” Our Guruji completed before retiring into her inner chambers.

Points to be understood :

• My pain and suffering in life is NOT BECAUSE OF HOW PEOPLE BEHAVE IN MY LIFE! 
• My pain in life is because of who I am.
• My expectations from the people in my life is the CAUSE OF MY SUFFERING.
• No one - not even GOD can save you there! No body can save your suffering that comes from your expectations from people and life! You need to address that sooner or later - that choice is yours to make!
• As long as you postpone making the choice to heal that expectation of yours you'll wallow in self pity, crying, panting, feeling low, sorry for yourself, going on the guilt ride, anger, hatred, jealousy and what not!

Reiki Miracle :

Someone was describing scenes from "Mahabharat" and at one point I felt "I wish I had seen this scene". Couple of minutes later I was to have my meal and so I put on TV. The scene that I wanted to see was playing there. Not even a scene before that. Just that exact scene. I finished my meal and so was the scene complete. I got up and put off the TV.

This is the everyday 'miracle' of reiki that I experience! I am put at place where I am needed or supposed to be at that point of time. There is nothing as 'coincidence' in a sadhak's life!

When Alexander had sent soldiers Master didn’t lose his temper. He was calm and so gave reply befitting a Master. He was in heaven.

When Alexander heard Master’s reply, he was calm and he sent ministers with gifts. It was his arrogance that made him to flatter Master with gifts and praise and get him to do as he Alexander pleased. He was creating hell for himself with this strategy.

Seeing through the acts of Alexander, Master gave a befitting reply. He did not fall for Alexander’s shallow words and acts. He was Master indeed. And thus he stayed in the heaven he had created for himself.

Alexander’s ego created desperation to seek Master who was of rare kind. He hadn’t met someone not enticed by his power and riches. He did not seem bothered to irk him either! That was intriguing to Alexander. So, he set to meet the Master.

When he met the Master he expected the Master to behave in a certain fashion. Wasn’t that Master supposed to give Alexander the treatment befitting an Emperor? Master did not fulfill his expectation. Alexander lost his temper and raised his sword to kill the Master. By giving way to his anger he created his hell!

Then the Master said “And here is hell?” Lo! Alexander saw his folly caused by anger lead by his expectations and ego! He stopped. His sword did not taste the blood of the Master. With his restraint he created his heaven.

He did not become great by controlling or winning battles with brutal force and strength. He became great by winning over his own ego and anger!

• What happens to me is based on so many factors. I can't control them all. But how I respond to them is within my reach. And I can very well control that.
• By channelising my energies on how to respond instead of 'how things and people should be' I move from suffering state to happy state of existence.....
• I need not change the world. All I need to do is change myself and the world I reflect changes for me!
• Look at the points that helps a person create heaven and work on developing them.
• Look at the attitudes that create hell for a person and heal them, transform them and transcend them.

Life hacks :

Today, I put my favourite 'tea' in 'high flame' and lo! the vessel was burnt as I was busy posting blog for you guys.........

moral : 
1. Don't put the flame in high if you are not going to be there while cooking.
2. Don't multi-task if your awareness level is not good enough

Lessons Learnt :
1. You say "well, she doesn't follow what she preaches" and I feel "I lose so many utensils for these kids and yet my work goes unrecognised". Situation being same for both, our expectations from each other comes from where we see each other. It comes from our perspective of the issue. The perspective reflects where we stress the 'point of seeing'. 
Because of this variation in perspective and angle of observation, we miss out on learning the "actual lesson" and go on the 'judging trip'.
2. My love for tea is known to all and yet I burnt the utensil. I became unaware of it. Meaning - my love for writing is much greater than that of drinking tea. The joy I get out of writing is much much more than my joy I get out of drinking my favourite drink in the world! 
Truth -  Between our both loves/desires/joys we select or concentrate more on the one which gives us more satisfaction.
And because I wanted to go back to writing faster than needed I put tea on high flame so that I could drink it fast and go back to writing. Result, tea was burned! 
Truth -  when we hurry something it gets burnt. The job becomes more cumbersome and tedious as we have to work more to get it fulfilled. 
When we are in a hurry to have one desire fulfilled, 'our hurry energy' becomes the 'energy that creates mess' and slows down the actual process thereby causing the 'delay' of something that we so want to happen now and here!
3. Put your tea - the desire you so long and want on low flame or it will get burnt and delayed!
4. Anger is the fire that burns the vessel that makes the tea. That vessel is your body, mental makeup, aura. 

So - Cook on sim flame - be it food for body or for your soul!

Think - What  desire of yours are you cooking on 'high flame'?


Now what is the 'low flame' here that I am saying? And what will get burnt? and how does it effect my desire?

Some see this incident as 'reiki not working for me/why did my tea/utensil get burnt even after doing reiki regularly? or as things going wrong/not as expected' - reiki gave me patience and clarity of thought to see 'beyond the incident that occurred'. This is the result of 'regular healing' for me. The little bulbs of understanding that lights up under such 'painful and suffering and not accepting situations' is the few of the best 'reiki miracle' that happens on daily basis in my life!

By taking away that which is perishable, it gives me that which is permanent! What more can I ask of reiki?! If this is not a miracle, I don't know what is!

“Guru, is there hell?” asked Vaishnav.

“Ask where heaven is” teased Kshama.

“Each will ask directions of place that he decides to go” Swathi teased.

“Has he decided to go there or is he sure of going there?” someone joined and all ended up laughing.

“But you people didn’t let me complete my question. You misunderstood my question. I was about to ask even about heaven” Vaishnav complained.

“Why ask directions to a place you are sure not to go?” replied Swathi teasing him.

Our Guru cut the banter and started her talk “Alexander winning battle after battle came to a forest. His soldiers found from the locals that a monk who was a ‘great Enlightened Being’ resided in that forest. They gave this news to Alexander. He sent a summon through his soldiers to the Master to come and meet him. Soldiers went seeking that Master and when they found him sitting under a tree they said “Alexander the Great Emperor desires to meet you. Please come with us. We’ll take you to him”.

The Master opened his eyes. He saw the soldiers standing with folded arms in front of him. He replied “It is your king’s desire to meet me. So let him come here to meet me”.

Being helpless soldiers took the message to Alexander. Now Alexander sent his Chief Ministers with precious gems and other gifts with a request for Master to come and meet him.

The ministers were led by the soldiers to the place where the Master was meditating. They placed all the gifts in front of him and saluted to him. The Master opened his eyes and asked “What are all these?”

The ministers replied “They are yours, Master. Alexander has sent them to you. He wishes to meet you. Please come with us”.

Life Tips :

Those who are WFH and even others who are at home if feeling bored, depressed or restless to go out - try this tip.

Stop working and being in those "house clothes" (like old torn nighties, pyjamas, shorts etc). Get dressed by 9.30am and be so till 5.30pm. Be dressed as if you are going to your office. You are working still! right? then why not be dressed the same way! 

Why let those special sarees get old in almirahs? Take them out. Complete all your work by 9.30am as if you are going to office by then. Next get dressed in good clothes and then work, play, watch TV whatever.........
