Pranayamam:

Simply understood – it’s “Breathing the right way”. It is the air that sustains us. It is the same air which is responsible for the quality of blood circulation in our system. But, many times, many of us are found breathing wrong. How?

Just observe the stomach as you breathe in and breathe out. Stomach goes in as we inhale and it goes out as we exhale. But when air is blown into the balloon it expands and as air goes out of it, it shrinks in size. Right?

The same philosophy should apply to stomach. But, it is not happening so. Which means we are breathing wrong. So, we sit and consciously breathe in and breathe out and this procedure is called ‘Pranayamam’.
