I feel "Fear of the unknown" is another way of understanding this comment. Most of the times we think unnecessarily & jump to conclusions and fear the unexpected. It is more or less a mind game which our mind plays with us - the result/outcome needn't be bad. This usually happens in emotional situations. That is why I termed it as excellent.

Our body and mind, get used to the atmosphere around it very soon. We often fear leaving the comfort zone (of our family, friends, city or profession) as we get apprehensive about the uncertainities in future.
What we cannot see, is that the foggy path which we are so afraid to take alone; often leads to the Golden gate of paradise.
