One liners are not the statements which should be agreed/disagreed at face value.
Their purpose is so very different!
They are the brain-teasers – in other words they should be chanted and applied at almost every situation and understood from that point of situation and time…then meaning unfolds differently (as said by b.singh in one of the comments section) in different situations….it means different too at different points of time…….as you play with these sentences and use them as ‘tag liners’ / ‘pauses’ / ‘reminders to get connected with the absolute Truth or Self’ meaning unfolds layer by layer and then we taste what is called as satori by Zen – specks of enlightenment.
Always remember – before the absolute enlightenment happens many small enlightenments enroute……. Taste it, experience it and enjoy it…..
One of the liner is explained with just 3 examples. But it’s scope is so vast that just this sentence can remove our ignorance and give us absolute clarity of thought in every subject provided we apply it religiously everywhere……
All that is seen is not real..
We are guided by our sense organs and Eyes is one such sense organ that makes maximum effect on our psyche. At every such moment, am I aware of the Truth?
For eg: some Stars that are seen every night and enjoyed are dead long back. Others are so many light years old that they must have shrinked drastically or moved away from where they seem to be to our eyes. In short, what we see don’t exist NOW as I see them or in other words they don’t exist the way I presume them to.
Sun rises in East and sets in West – This is the most accepted presumption (like many others too!) but does the SUN ever RISE or SET – NO!. but we SEE it rising and setting and think it to be true though proved that it doesn’t happen.
We celebrate at birth and cry and fret and fume at death - but both these events don't happen in real sense or the way we understand them or deal with them or the way we experience them....Soul never takes birth nor dies - yet we talk of both these events as a day to day happening - moreover, we say or feel sorry if anyone 'dies' and are ever running from death when that is the only reality that happens to us every moment of our life.....So, the Truth is ...
We SEE what we want to Believe. In other words our mind collaborates with our senses to conjure up the image that fits it’s fancy. Hence all that is seen is not real!

I am in a dilemna nowadays. If i am to believe that everything i see is unreal, i feel like i am becoming insensitive to the tragedies happening everywhere just because they are not happening to me.The moment i am in some trying situation, i am not able to view it as unreal. How do i balance it out? I send reiki in both situations, but i am unable to be patient in my case. The phrase that " this too shall pass" is a breather, but "when" is the big question.
